HUNIGER Powder Against Mites, 55 g, Natural Diatomaceous Earth
A thin layer on mattresses, carpets and curtains works mechanically, with no chemicals in the home.
HUNIGER powder against mites is a 100% natural diatomaceous earth treatment for dust mites in the home and in animal housing. It works indoors and outdoors, and the 55 g pack covers roughly 20 m².
Dual action: abrasion plus dehydration
Microscopic sharp particles cut through the mites' exoskeleton on contact and the pests die of dehydration. Depending on the level of infestation the process takes from 3 days to 1–2 weeks.
Application on beds, carpets and cracks
Spread a thin layer with a dry flat brush wherever the pests live: mattresses, bedding, fabrics, curtains, cages. On carpets work the powder into the fibres with a broom, leave it for 2–3 days and vacuum. Wear a mask so you do not inhale the fine dust.
Chemical-free, safe around children and pets
The composition is of natural origin, non-toxic to people, animals and the environment, and pests do not build up resistance with repeated treatments. It is a basic substance under Art. 23 of Regulation (EC) 1107/2009 and is accepted in organic farming.
Repeat every 10 days for heavy infestations
For a serious infestation, reapply once a week for a month. Outdoors, treat again after heavy rain so the barrier around plants, beds and doorways stays active.
