ISOMAT MULTIFILL-EPOXY THIXO is a two-component, solvent-free epoxy grout in grey that doubles as an adhesive for floor tiles. It fills horizontal and vertical joints from 1.5 to 10 mm wide and shrugs off acids, alkalis, cleaning agents, sea and salt water. The 3 kg pack contains components A and B pre-measured in the exact ratio.
Stands up to acids, alkalis and cleaning agents
Tested to ASTM D 543-84 and EN 12808-1, the grout changes weight by less than 1.2% after seven days in 30% sulphuric acid, 5% acetic acid or 60% sodium hydroxide, with no damage to the material. That is why it is specified in breweries, abattoirs, dairies, laboratories and professional kitchens where washdowns are aggressive and daily.
Thixotropic mix holds in vertical joints
The stiff, non-sag consistency lets you grout walls and floors at the same pace. Work the mix in diagonally with a rubber float, then lift the excess with a damp hard sponge while it is still fresh.
Over 45 N/mm² compressive strength for heavy traffic
The cured material shows abrasion below 250 mm³ and performs from -30 °C to +80 °C. It is walkable after 16 hours, takes partial loading after 48 hours and full loading after 7 days at +23 °C.
Safe for surfaces in contact with food
Surfaces grouted with this material meet W-347, EPA 330.5 and EPA 110.2 for direct food contact. The product carries the A+ rating under the French VOC emissions regulation and is completely safe once cured.
Five minutes mixing, 45 minutes pot life
Add the whole of component B to component A and blend for about five minutes with a low-speed mixer at 300 rpm, reaching the sides and bottom of the pail. Tiles and tools clean up with water within 45 minutes at +23 °C. Workability is best when laying between +15 °C and +25 °C.
