The OSRAM OJS010 BATTERYjumpstart 500 is a compact lithium jump starter for 12 V cars with petrol engines up to 3 l and diesels up to 1.5 l. It covers cars, vans, SUVs and light commercial vehicles, and doubles as a power bank for phones and tablets.

Boost function for a fully drained battery

Starting works even when the vehicle battery has dropped to 0 V, where ordinary starters refuse to deliver current. Peak output is 500 A, with 200 A cranking amps.

Smart clamps with longer cables

The ergonomic connection reaches batteries tucked away in awkward spots under the bonnet. Electronics in the clamps monitor the connection and warn by sound and LED against reverse polarity, short circuit or voltage spikes.

USB-A output for phone and tablet

The 6000 mAh lithium-ion cell also powers electronics when no socket is nearby. Recharging the unit itself runs through USB-C and takes about 3 hours.

Built-in torch and charge indicator

The LED light aims illumination at the work area during a night-time roadside fix. Separate indicators show how much charge is left before you set off.
