Old Gold Juniper
Bronze-gold evergreen foliage that keeps the garden colourful through every season
The Old Gold juniper is a spreading conifer with bronze-gold, scale-like foliage. This cultivar of Juniperus × pfitzeriana brings year-round colour to borders, slopes, rock gardens and low group plantings.
Spreading habit up to 150 cm wide
At maturity this cultivar reaches 60–90 cm in height and 120–150 cm in spread, with a recommended spacing of about 150 cm. The low, wide habit makes it a natural choice for slopes, rock gardens and foundation plantings.
Full sun for the richest gold colour
Plant the juniper in full sun, where its golden tone is at its strongest. The cultivar is hardy down to USDA zone 4 and needs very little care. Annual growth is about 10–15 cm, so the plant keeps its shape for years without pruning.
