AGRO Seeding & Propagation Substrate 5 L is a dedicated growing medium for raising flower, vegetable and herb seedlings and for rooting cuttings. Its fine texture and low nutrient content match what young plants need during their first weeks. The 5 L pack covers a few seed trays or a set of small pots on the windowsill.
Fine peat-and-sand blend for even germination
Small seeds stay snugly surrounded by the mix, so moisture reaches every one of them in the same way. Seedlings emerge at an even pace, with no gaps across the tray.
Low nutrient content for delicate young roots
Freshly formed roots do not tolerate heavily fertilised soil. Cuttings can develop roots undisturbed, and liquid feeding starts once seedlings are up or cuttings have rooted.
Crumbly, air-permeable sowing mix
The sand keeps the medium loose so water does not linger around fragile stems. Moisture is held until the seedlings are ready to be pricked out into pots.
How to use: seedlings, herbs and cuttings
Fill seed trays or small pots, sow the seeds or insert the cuttings and water moderately. Before sowing the mix should be damp enough to feel moist when squeezed in the hand, and it is kept moist after sowing as well.
