JUNIPER BLUE CARPET
- HEIGHT : 30.00 см
Blue Carpet Juniper, 30 cm, 1 L Pot
A low, spreading carpet of silver-blue foliage for sunny slopes and rock gardens
Blue Carpet juniper (Juniperus squamata 'Blue Carpet') is a low, spreading evergreen conifer grown for ground cover. It comes in a 1 L pot at 30 cm tall, ready to plant out.
Spreads up to 150 cm across
Blue Carpet keeps low to the ground at 15–30 cm while its branches reach outward, knitting into a dense mat over banks, borders and gravel beds. For full coverage, plants are spaced about 150 cm apart.
Silver-blue needles with year-round colour
The fine, silver-blue needles turn grey-green in winter, so the shrub keeps its colour and shape when most of the garden is bare. The variety holds the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
Full sun, free-draining soil, minimal upkeep
Plant it in full sun. It copes with sandy, stony, chalky and clay soils as long as they drain freely. Once established it tolerates drought and needs no pruning, which makes it a natural fit for rockeries, courtyard plantings and coastal gardens.
