The Makita DJV180ZX cordless jigsaw is part of the 18V LXT system and built for professional use. It cuts wood up to 135 mm, steel up to 10 mm and aluminium up to 20 mm, all cordless. It ships as a body-only tool — no battery or charger — so you power it with LXT batteries you already own.
Cordless cuts in three materials
The Makita DJV180ZX jigsaw handles wood, steel and aluminium on a single tool. Cutting depth in wood reaches 135 mm — enough for worktops, boards and furniture panels. Cordless freedom makes it easy to use on a ladder, roof or in tight spots.
Variable speed for every material
The trigger on the Makita DJV180ZX varies speed from 0 to 2600 strokes per minute, so you set the pace to the material. Lower speed for metal and plastic, high speed for fast cutting in wood. A 26 mm stroke length drives the blade with confidence.
Orbital action and 45° bevel
Three-stage orbital action speeds up cutting in wood, while switching it off gives a clean edge in metal. The base tilts up to 45° left and right for bevel cuts. An electronic brake stops the blade the moment you release the trigger.
Tool-less blade change and built-in light
Blade changes are tool-less, so you swap blades quickly between cuts. A built-in LED job light illuminates the cutting line in low light. The tool takes bayonet (T-shank) jigsaw blades.
Works with Makita LXT 18V batteries
The Makita DJV180ZX runs on any battery from the 18V LXT range — 1.5Ah, 3Ah, 4Ah and 5Ah. It comes without battery or charger, making it a smart buy if you already own tools from the LXT system.
