The Makita DDF492Z is an 18 V LXT cordless brushless drill driver built for daily professional use. Its brushless motor produces up to 130 Nm of torque and runs at two mechanical speeds for drilling and fastening. It ships as body only, letting you power it with your existing Makita LXT batteries.
Brushless motor for longer life and more work per charge
The Makita DDF492Z brushless motor has no wearing carbon brushes, extending tool life and improving efficiency. That makes it ready for intensive, day-after-day professional work.
Two speeds for drilling and driving
The DDF492Z two-speed gearbox offers a low gear for high torque when driving and a high gear for fast drilling. No-load speed reaches 0–550 and 0–2100 rpm depending on the task.
Precise control with 22 torque settings
The adjustable clutch of the Makita DDF492Z offers 22 torque settings so you can drive screws without over-tightening or damaging the workpiece. The 13 mm keyless chuck accepts drill bits and driver bits without a key.
LED light for working in dark spots
The DDF492Z built-in LED light illuminates the work area when drilling in cabinets, ceilings and poorly lit rooms. It helps you position accurately without extra lighting.
Compatible with Makita LXT 18 V batteries
The Makita DDF492Z runs on any battery from the Makita LXT 18 V system. It comes without battery and charger, so you can use your existing packs and expand the platform affordably.
