Two-speed metal gearbox for speed and power
The drill's two-speed all-metal gearbox offers 0-550 rpm for high-torque driving and 0-2100 rpm for fast drilling. The metal gear housing withstands the strain of intensive work. With 22 torque settings plus a drilling mode, you can dial in exactly the right setting for each material.
XPT protection and LED light for tough conditions
XPT technology shields the Makita DDF492RTJ from dust and moisture, so it keeps working reliably on a dusty site or outdoors. A built-in LED work light with a delayed-off function lights up the work area even in dark corners. The ergonomic soft-grip handle reduces fatigue during long sessions.
Complete kit with two batteries and a case
The DDF492RTJ kit includes two BL1850B batteries, a DC18RC fast charger and a MakPac carry case for transport and storage. With a spare battery on hand, work never stops while the other charges. The MakPac case stacks with other cases in the system for easy transport.
Compatible with the whole Makita LXT 18V system
The Makita DDF492RTJ works with every battery in the Makita LXT 18V system, so packs are shared across your other LXT tools. The 1.5-13 mm metal keyless chuck accepts drill bits and driver bits without a key. That makes the drill a natural addition to an existing LXT collection.
