The CLAGE CEX 9-U instantaneous water heater is a compact electric undersink unit that heats water as it flows. Electronic sensor-key control sets the temperature anywhere between 20 °C and 55 °C. It serves a single draw-off point: a kitchen sink, washbasin or double washbasin.
Steady temperature without mixing in cold water
The electronics track flow and inlet temperature and adjust heating output in real time via TWIN TEMPERATURE control TTC. Set 38 °C and you get 38 °C, even when line pressure changes, up to the capacity of the unit.
6.6 or 8.8 kW, selected during installation
The Multiple Power System MPS lets the installer cap the rating to suit the building's wiring. At 8.8 kW the unit delivers 3.8 l/min at a 33 K temperature rise; at 6.6 kW it delivers 2.9 l/min.
IES bare-wire heating system for less limescale
The IES heating system uses a bare wire immersed directly in the water. There is no hot metal sheath for lime to build up on, so output stays consistent over the years.
29.4 x 17.7 x 10.8 cm fits the cabinet under the sink
Connections are external G ½" threads and the filled weight is about 2.7 kg. The trap and your cleaning supplies still fit in the cabinet, and the 1 MPa (10 bar) rating also allows pressureless operation.
Smartphone and remote control as options
The unit is prepared for the FXE 3 (C) Bluetooth adapter and the Smart Control app, as well as the FX 3 wireless remote with a range of about 10 metres indoors. Adapter and remote are sold separately.
Solar-compatible with inlet up to 60 °C
Pre-heated water can be fed in and the unit only tops it up to the set value, so it works in tandem with a solar collector or another pre-heating source.
