Acidic pH 4.0–5.0 growing medium made for rhododendrons and azaleas.
AGRO Substrate for Azaleas and Rhododendrons 20 L is a ready-to-use peat-based mix for acid-loving plants. Use it when planting or repotting rhododendrons, azaleas, heathers and blueberries in pots, planters or garden beds. One 20-litre bag covers several medium pots or the preparation of a planting hole.
Acidic pH that acid-loving plants actually need
Rhododendrons and azaleas can only take up nutrients in acidic conditions; in ordinary garden soil their leaves turn yellow. The AGRO substrate holds a pH of 4.0–5.0 and gives them the right environment from the day of planting.
Peat and matured bark humus for airy roots
A blend of peat and matured bark humus keeps the mix loose and well aerated. The shallow, fine roots of azaleas can breathe instead of sitting in waterlogged soil, while moisture is held evenly between waterings.
Six weeks of nutrients after planting
The substrate is enriched with base nutrients and trace elements that feed the plant for around six weeks. During that period no extra feeding is needed — you simply plant and water.
