With a 1650 W motor and a 260 mm blade, it handles everyday joinery and installation work, while the aluminium base keeps every cut stable and accurate. It combines mitre and bevel cuts, so you can shape exact corner angles for trim and frames in one setup.
1650 W direct-drive motor
The direct-drive motor of the Makita LS1040N sends power straight to the blade, with no belts to slip or replace. Soft start and constant speed deliver clean cuts even in harder timber. It is built for extended professional use.
260 mm blade at 4600 rpm for a clean cut
The 260 mm blade spins at 4600 rpm at no load for smooth crosscuts and angled cuts. The high speed reduces splintering along the edge of the workpiece. It suits skirting, battens and boards in everyday work.
Mitre and bevel cuts for exact angles
The Makita LS1040N mitres from 0° to 45° left and up to 52° right, with a bevel of up to 45° left for compound cuts. Positive stops at common angles speed up setup. It is ideal for frames, mouldings and joinery joints.
Aluminium base and dust collection
The precision-machined aluminium base holds the workpiece steady and keeps cuts accurate. Built-in dust collection with a bag keeps the work area cleaner. At around 11 kg the saw stays easy to move around the workshop.
