BARDAHL XTC 10W40 Semi-Synthetic Engine Oil, 1 L (BAR-36241)
All-season oil for petrol, diesel and LPG engines, turbocharged or not.
BARDAHL XTC 10W40 is a semi-synthetic engine oil in a 1 L bottle, handy for topping up or for a full change on smaller sumps. It meets ACEA A3/B4 and API SN/CF and works all year round, including under demanding operating conditions.
One oil for petrol, diesel and LPG
The formulation covers naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines as well as LPG conversions. The manufacturer lists MB 229.1, VW 501.01 / 505.00 and BMW Longlife-98 approvals. Always check the requirement in your car's service manual first.
Protection from the first seconds after a cold start
The pour point is -39 °C and viscosity at -25 °C is 6500 cP, so the oil reaches the moving parts quickly in cold weather. A viscosity index of 152 keeps the oil film stable once the engine is up to temperature.
Low volatility for reduced oil consumption
The additive package limits evaporation between services and counters oxidation, varnish deposits and corrosion. A TBN of 10.3 mgKOH/g maintains the reserve that neutralises acidic combustion by-products.
1 L bottle to keep in the boot
The one-litre bottle is convenient for correcting the level between scheduled services and as a spare on long trips. Keep it closed in its original packaging, away from light and moisture; the manufacturer recommends use within 60 months.
