The STIHL RM 2.2 R petrol lawn mower is a 46 cm mulching mower built for medium-sized lawns of up to 1500 m². It works without a grass box: the mulching blade chops the clippings and returns them to the turf as fertiliser. Cutting height is set in 4 steps per axle, from 28 to 85 mm.
Mulching that saves you hauling clippings away
The specially shaped blade cuts the grass in stages and shreds it into fine clippings inside the deck. There is no box to empty and nothing to dispose of, while the nutrients stay in the lawn.
Four-stroke OHV engine with steady power output
The 139 cc EVC 200.4 engine delivers 2.1 kW and holds its revs in taller grass. The easy-start system takes minimal effort whether the engine is cold or warm.
Cutting height from 28 to 85 mm, set on both axles
Front and rear axles adjust separately in 4 steps, so you can cut shorter in spring and leave the lawn higher through dry spells. The 46 cm cutting width covers up to 1500 m² in a sensible number of passes.
Sheet-steel deck and Quick-Fix folding handlebar
The torsion-resistant sheet-steel deck takes everyday garden use and the odd knock against a kerb. The handlebar folds without tools thanks to the Quick-Fix couplings, and the profiled wheels steer easily around trees and paths.
