Ready-to-use liquid bitumen membrane that cures into a seamless, watertight roof coating.

Sika Sikalastic-685 is a one-component, water-based liquid bitumen roof waterproofing in grey. Applied straight from the bucket with a brush, roller or trowel, it forms a seamless, elastic layer with no overlaps. It suits flat and pitched roofs, balconies and terraces, gutters and troughs, parapet walls and flashings.

Seamless coating with no overlaps

Sika Sikalastic-685 is applied as a liquid and cures into one continuous film with no seams or overlaps. Its full bond to the substrate blocks water from creeping under the membrane, the weak spot of sheet systems.

Ready to use and easy to apply

Sika Sikalastic-685 is one-component and used straight from the bucket, with no mixing or thinning. Apply it by brush, velour roller, trowel or airless spray, which handles both large areas and fine roof details.

UV resistance and long outdoor life

Sika Sikalastic-685 keeps its elasticity under open exposure and shows no change after 3000 hours of artificial ageing. Its strong UV and chemical resistance make it a durable choice for exposed roofs.

Bridges cracks and stays elastic in the cold

Sika Sikalastic-685 bridges cracks wider than 3.5 mm at +20 °C and stays functional across a wide temperature range. It follows substrate movement without the coating cracking.

Strong adhesion to many substrates

Sika Sikalastic-685 bonds to concrete, cement screeds, brickwork, metals, wood and ceramic tiles. This versatility lets one product cover a roof, terrace, gutter or parapet.
