36V performance from two 18V LXT batteries — professional cutting without petrol.
The Makita DUR368AZ is a cordless brushless brush cutter with a bike handle, running on two 18V LXT batteries connected in series for 36V output. Supplied as body only, without batteries or charger, it offers three speed settings (3,500, 5,300 and 6,500 min⁻¹) for use with a nylon head, plastic blade or metal blade. It is built for professional green-space maintenance.
Three speeds for every type of growth
Speed is selected on the LED control panel: low for light grass along paths, high for dense or woody growth. Automatic Torque Drive Technology (ADT) raises torque as the grass thickens and eases the revs back once the load drops.
Brushless motor with low noise and vibration
With no brushes to wear or replace, losses and servicing drop, while sound pressure at the operator's ear measures 77 dB(A) — early-morning work in residential areas without petrol noise. Vibration with nylon line stays at ≤ 2.5 m/s².
AFT and electric brake for safer work
Active Feedback sensing Technology cuts the motor if rotation is suddenly halted by a stone or wire. A reverse function frees grass wound around the head, and the electric brake stops the cutting tool the moment the trigger is released.
XPT dust and moisture protection for outdoor use
eXtreme Protection Technology seals the critical points of the housing and electronics against dust and moisture in dew, mist and dusty terrain. A battery protection circuit guards against overload, over-discharge and overheating.
Compatible with the Makita LXT 18V platform
The cutter takes two Makita 18V LXT batteries in separate docks, wired in series — existing packs from the platform fit without an adapter. Batteries and charger are not included.
Bike handle and shoulder harness
The bike-type twin handle spreads effort across both arms and keeps control during wide sweeping strokes on slopes and open ground. The shoulder harness transfers the machine's weight to the body during long cutting sessions.
