The KAMININOX rotating chimney cowl with base plate is made of stainless steel and fits square chimney openings of 250/250 mm. The wind-driven rotating head assists the draught, while the plate covers the chimney mouth against rain and snow.
Wind-driven rotating head
The head spins freely on its bearing mount in the slightest air movement and keeps the flue gases moving upwards. In gusty conditions above the roof this limits smoke being pushed back down the flue.
250/250 mm plate for square chimney mouths
The base plate sits on the masonry and closes the opening around its full perimeter, leaving only the shaped outlet to the rotating head. Check the clear chimney opening before buying: this item covers the 250/250 mm size.
Stainless steel for permanent outdoor duty
Stainless steel withstands rain, snow and the acidic condensate from flue gases with no painting required. At around 2 kg the cowl can be carried and positioned on the roof by one person.
