The TMINOX MC 235 wine tank is an AISI 304 stainless steel vessel for fermenting and storing wine in a home cellar. Its 235-litre volume suits the yield of a small vineyard plot, while the 637 mm diameter lets several tanks stand side by side. Made in Bulgaria by Tomika Metal.
AISI 304 stainless steel for wine contact
The alloy stays inert to the acids in must and wine and imparts no off-flavours during long storage. The walls tolerate repeated washing with hot water and cellar cleaning agents.
2R mirror-finish interior
The smooth wall gives deposits nothing to cling to, so tartrate comes off with a brush and water instead of aggressive scrubbing. The outside carries a 2M marbled finish that keeps its look after years in the cellar.
Fermentation with a floating lid and submerged cap
A floating lid with an air chamber sits at the liquid level and limits oxygen contact when the tank is not full. With the perforated fermentation lid the skins stay submerged, supporting extraction in red wines.
Compatible accessories from the 610 and 637 range
The tank works with the KP 610 floating lid, KPP 610 perforated lid, 610 air chamber, KZ 637 dust cover and PS 637 stand. For fermentation control the manufacturer offers a heat-exchange panel, a thermometer and a racking cylinder: vertical OC 740 or horizontal 3/4".
Servicing and part replacement without special tools
The 3/4" drain tap fits and comes off easily for cleaning or replacement. The MC series is built for long service life with readily available spare parts.
