The Bosch Truvo II digital detector locates metal in walls and ceilings down to 70 mm and live cables down to 50 mm. It runs on a single button with automatic calibration, and three AAA batteries are supplied in the box.

Metal to 70 mm, live cables to 50 mm

The detector picks up ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals — copper down to 60 mm — and live wiring on every pass over the surface. Before you hang a shelf, a picture or a light, you know what sits behind the plaster.

LED traffic-light display with warning sound

Green, amber and red on the display, backed by an audible warning, mark the zones to avoid. Separate LED icons for metal and live wire tell you which of the two was found.

Automatic calibration on start-up

The tool sets itself to the substrate — no material or mode selection to worry about. Marking notches on both sides of the housing let you pencil the drilling spot without moving the scanner.

150 g in the hand, batteries included

The compact body is comfortable one-handed when scanning ceilings or overhead walls. The box holds three 1.5 V LR03 (AAA) batteries and a language-neutral quick-start guide with graphics.
