The OSRAM ORIGINAL P21/5W (order reference 7528) is a 12 V dual-filament halogen bulb with a BAY15d base. It serves rear light clusters where one bulb handles two jobs: a 21 W brake filament and a 5 W tail filament. The pack holds two bulbs — exactly what a left-and-right replacement needs.
Two lighting functions in one base
One filament delivers 440 lm for the brake signal, the second 35 lm for the constant tail light. The offset pins of the BAY15d base allow only one seating position, so the two functions cannot be swapped during fitting.
Metal base for stable contact under vibration
This is an ORIGINAL - METAL BASE lamp: the precision base keeps the filament centred in the reflector and maintains contact against road vibration. Bulbs of this line are fitted as original equipment by vehicle manufacturers.
Standard dimensions for rear light housings
A length of 52.5 mm and a 26.5 mm bulb diameter match the standard P21/5W position used across most 12 V cars and motorcycles. Check the vehicle manual to see which position calls for P21/5W and which for the single-filament P21W.
