The Makita DDF489Z 18 V brushless cordless drill driver is a professional tool for drilling in wood and metal and for driving screws. It is supplied as body only and runs on any battery from the Makita 18 V LXT system. It delivers up to 73 Nm of torque and drills up to 38 mm in wood and 13 mm in steel.
Brushless motor for longer life and more work per charge
The brushless motor in the Makita DDF489Z has no carbon brushes, reducing friction and wear for a longer service life. Higher efficiency means more holes drilled and more screws driven per battery charge.
Two speeds for drilling and controlled fastening
The drill's mechanical two-speed transmission switches between a low, high-torque range for fastening and a fast range up to 1800 rpm for drilling. One tool therefore covers a wide range of materials and tasks.
22 torque settings for precise control
The clutch collar on the Makita DDF489Z offers 22 torque settings so you can drive screws to the exact depth without sinking into the material. The setting protects screw heads and the workpiece surface.
LED work light for the task area
The drill's built-in LED light illuminates the drilling point and helps when working in dark corners, cabinets and poorly lit rooms. You clearly see the screw and the surface even without extra lighting.
Compatible with the entire Makita 18 V LXT system
The Makita DDF489Z is supplied without a battery and charger and works with all lithium-ion batteries from the Makita 18 V LXT range. If you already own LXT tools, you reuse your existing batteries and save on a kit.
