The Bosch Power Plus 77Ah (PP008) is a maintenance-free 12 V car battery delivering 780 A cold cranking current, with the positive terminal on the right (R+). It is built for vehicles with high electrical demand that do not use a Start/Stop system.

Carbon Boost 2.0 for faster charge acceptance

Carbon additives in the negative plates improve charge acceptance, and Bosch states charging is up to twice as fast as with standard batteries. The battery recovers well even on frequent short city journeys, when the alternator has little time to top it up.

780 A cranking power for any climate

With 77 Ah of capacity, the battery keeps up with cars that run plenty of electrical equipment. Its grid design boosts starting current and minimises corrosion, extending service life and lowering long-term running costs.

Maintenance-free design with labyrinth lid

The grid alloy and labyrinth-style lid return vapours to the cells, so there is no electrolyte loss over the battery's lifetime. It is also protected against vibration, leakage and ignition. Bosch still recommends checking the vehicle's charging system and battery voltage once a year.

Compatibility: vehicles without Start/Stop

This battery is not suitable for Start/Stop vehicles that require AGM or EFB technology. Check that the 278 x 175 x 190 mm footprint and right-hand positive terminal (R+) match your car's battery tray and cabling. Bosch classifies it as an original equipment (OE) part.
