INTEX 29045 Polysphere Fiber Ball Filter Media for Sand Filter Pumps, 500 g
Reusable, machine-washable media that replaces dozens of kilos of filter sand.
INTEX 29045 fiber balls are a filter medium for sand filter pumps, used in place of silica sand or glass granulate. One 500 g bag replaces roughly 18 kg of sand, with each ball measuring about 5 cm. They suit INTEX sand filter pumps from the SX and QX ranges.
500 g instead of 18 kg of sand
The weight difference shows both when carrying the bag and when loading the filter. The fibrous structure traps even the fine particles that leave pool water cloudy.
Dosage matched to your pump model
INTEX specifies exact amounts per pump: 200 g for SX925, 350 g for SX1500, 650 g for SX2100, 1000 g for SX2800/QX2100 and 1500 g for SX3000/SX3200/QX2600. Pack the balls tightly between the MIN and MAX marks to form a firm filtration layer.
Machine washable for several seasons of use
When the media gets dirty you take it out, wash it and return it to the filter chamber. Typically that is needed once every one to two months during the season, instead of weekly backwashing.
