The GYS FLIP FLAP 042513 welding helmet is a traditional head-mounted shield with a hinged shade 11 filter and a fixed clear shade 0 screen behind it. The viewing area measures 97 x 80 mm and the lenses are 110 x 90 mm. It covers MMA, TIG and MIG-MAG welding up to 200 A.

Flip-up shade 11 filter over a clear screen

One flick lifts the tinted lens and leaves the clear screen in place, still shielding your face from sparks and slag while grinding or cleaning the joint. Positioning the electrode, checking the weld and dressing it happen without removing the headgear.

Both hands free while you work

The adjustable headband with front pad spreads the load across the head instead of tying up a hand holding the shield. Full face and neck coverage matters most in awkward positions where both hands are busy.

Coverage for MMA, TIG and MIG-MAG up to 200 A

GYS specifies MMA at 25-150 A, TIG at 25-175 A and MIG-MAG at 25-200 A, matching the inverter machines used in workshops, fabrication and repair work. The 110 x 90 mm lenses are a standard size and can be replaced once scratched or spattered.

Certified to EN 175, EN 166 and EN 169

The shield and lenses meet the European norms for welding face protection and for filter shades. The material withstands UV radiation and the radiant heat coming off the arc.
