The WINDHAGER WH03498 window insect screen is the classic fix for open windows: a fine white polyester mesh measuring 130x150 cm, held in place by self-adhesive hook-and-loop tape. Trim it with a utility knife to match your window, then take it down and wash it at 30 °C whenever needed.

Fine 1.5 x 1.2 mm mesh against mosquitoes and flies

The tight weave stops crawling insects too, while the fabric stays almost invisible against the light. Air and daylight pass through freely, so you can ventilate at night as well.

Velcro fixing with no drilling into the frame

The self-adhesive tape goes on the inner side of the window frame and the mesh simply presses onto it. With just 1 mm of build-up and no holes left behind, it suits rented flats and works behind most roller shutters.

Cut to size with a utility knife

The fabric covers a clear opening of up to 130 cm wide and 150 cm high; the surplus is trimmed along the tape. It fits flush and recessed window frames, as well as frames without a weather bar.

Machine washable at 30 °C and UV resistant

Take the polyester fabric down at the end of the season and wash it, or just wipe it with a damp cloth. UV resistance keeps colour and strength intact on sun-facing windows. Do not bleach, iron or tumble dry.
