The ITA HOME & GARDEN marten and polecat trap (model 5001) is a 60x23x23 cm wire cage for live capture around the yard, outbuildings, attics and garages. It works with bait and a pressure plate, so the animal can be released elsewhere unharmed.
Pressure plate that triggers at the slightest step
The floor plate spans the base of the cage and drops the door the moment the animal steps on it to reach the bait. The single-entrance mechanism is armed by hand before each setting.
19 x 19 mm galvanised mesh with rust-resistant finish
The wire is 1.5 mm thick and the dark green RAL 6005 finish lets the cage stay outdoors in rain and dew. The tight grid also holds smaller predators such as weasels and dormice.
Carry handle for safe transport of the caught animal
The handle sits on top of the cage and keeps hands clear of the mesh when lifting. The animal can be carried to a chosen spot and released without any direct contact.
