BugAway Scoot is a water-soluble repellent concentrate for birds, cats and dogs, made for ledges, roofs, balconies, pavements and yards. One 150 g pack yields 30 litres of working solution covering 100 m². It is applied by spraying onto a surface that has been cleaned beforehand.
Targets the marking habit itself
Birds, cats and dogs return to spots where they recognise the scent of their own kind. The solution changes the smell and taste of the treated surface, prompting the animals to look for another place to perch or relieve themselves.
88% aluminium ammonium sulphate dodecahydrate
The active substance is barely perceptible to the human nose yet strongly off-putting to animals. The formula poses no danger to people, pets or plants, so it can be used on areas in daily use.
Two-step mixing and spraying
Dissolve the contents in 2 litres of hot water, then top up to 30 litres with cold water once the mix has cooled. For smaller areas the quantities are reduced proportionally, so one pack covers several separate treatments.
Treatment schedule until the visits stop
Clear the surface of droppings with plenty of water and no acidic cleaners, then let it dry. A second treatment follows 15 days after the first and is then repeated monthly; reapply after rain or watering.
