The Windhager Snail Stop WH02435 slug protection ring encircles each young plant with a barrier slugs cannot climb over. The pack holds 6 rings of 23 cm diameter, enough for a whole row of seedlings in a bed or raised planter.

Downward-curved rim stops slugs

A slug reaches the top edge, meets the outward and downward curve and turns back. Protection is purely mechanical: no pellets and no chemicals on the soil where lettuce or young vegetables grow.

Targeted watering and fewer weeds

Water stays inside the ring and goes straight to the roots, while the surrounding soil remains dry. A dry surface makes crawling harder for slugs, and weeds spread less readily around the plant.

Hail- and frost-resistant, good for several seasons

The rings withstand hail and frost and can stay in the bed in any weather. After harvest simply rinse them and use them again next spring.

Fits around a seedling in seconds

Place the ring early, right when the seedling goes in, and press the lower edge into the soil. Besides the barrier it also creates a warmer microclimate around the tender shoots.
