The OSRAM BATTERYcharge 904 (OEBCS904) is a smart charger and maintainer for 6V and 12V batteries in cars, motorcycles and smaller vehicles. It handles lead-acid, AGM and EFB batteries up to 90 Ah and connects via crocodile clamps or ring terminals for permanent mounting.
9-step charging cycle for lead-acid and AGM batteries
The electronics run through diagnosis, recovery and final top-up, then keep the battery topped off automatically once full. Lithium batteries are handled with a 7-step cycle.
Two charging currents: 2 A and 4 A
The lower setting suits small motorcycle and scooter batteries, the higher one shortens charging on car batteries up to 90 Ah. You switch with a button and follow progress on the digital display.
Reverse-polarity and short-circuit protection
The unit delivers no current if the clamps are swapped and cuts off if they touch. A cold-weather mode adapts to low temperatures and protects the battery from deep discharge.
Compatible with Start/Stop systems
The charging profiles suit batteries in stop-start vehicles, which face frequent partial discharge cycles. The 1.5 m mains cable and 500 g housing store easily in the boot.
