Microprocessor-controlled charging with winter and maintenance modes for cars, motorcycles and scooters

The Einhell CE-BC 4 M is a smart charger for 12 V vehicle batteries from 3 to 120 Ah. It works with gel, AGM and maintenance-free or low-maintenance lead-acid batteries, delivering up to 4 A of charging current.

Multi-stage charging managed by a microprocessor

The electronics analyse the type and condition of the connected battery and select the right mode on their own. Each stage of the charge cycle is monitored and adjusted, and the charger automatically adapts to 12 V vehicle systems. Four different charge settings are available on the unit.

Trickle charging for seasonal vehicles

Trickle mode holds the charge at an optimal level while a motorcycle, scooter or camper sits idle for months. The battery avoids deep discharge, so the vehicle is ready to ride at the start of the season.

Winter mode and recovery of deeply discharged batteries

Winter mode is designed for charging when outside temperatures drop below 5 °C. Recondition mode revives deeply discharged batteries, and supply mode lets the unit act as a 12 V power source.

LCD display and electronic protection

The display shows battery voltage, charging progress and the selected mode, and flags clamps connected the wrong way round. Built-in electronics protect both charger and battery against overcharging, short circuits and reversed polarity. The battery clamps are fully insulated.

IP65-rated housing with wall-mounting eyelet

The housing is dust-tight and withstands water jets, so the charger can be used in a garage or carport. A hanging eyelet on the back lets you mount it on the wall, keeping it close at hand and off the workbench.
