The OSRAM OSP1000 BATTERYcharge SOLAR is a solar panel that maintains the charge of 12 V batteries in campers, caravans, motorcycles, classic cars and golf buggies. It ships with a 3 m cable, a 12 V DC plug and battery clips, and its IP65 housing is made for outdoor placement.

Offsets the constant drain of modern vehicle electronics

Alarms, immobilisers and lock monitoring keep drawing current even with the ignition off. The panel feeds energy back into the battery throughout daylight hours, so a long standstill does not end with a flat battery.

Monocrystalline cells in an aluminium frame

Efficiency is higher than with amorphous-cell panels, and the frame is built to sit outdoors all season. Output peaks in direct sunlight and continues in overcast daylight.

Two connection options plus reverse polarity protection

The 3 m cable ends in a 12 V DC plug or in the supplied battery clips. Swapping the positive and negative terminal causes no damage, as the protection circuit blocks the connection.
