HOLCIM CEM II/B-LL 42.5R is a limestone Portland cement of strength class 42.5 with high early strength, produced to BS EN 197-1. The 25 kg bag is easy to carry and dose on repair jobs and smaller concreting works. The R designation stands for rapid strength gain in the first days after placing.
High early strength for a faster work cycle
Rapid hardening allows earlier formwork removal and a quicker move to the next construction stage. The cement is intended for concrete and reinforced concrete structures, precast elements, floor slabs and industrial sites.
Composition to BS EN 197-1 with 21–35% limestone
The main components are 65–79% clinker plus up to 5% minor additional constituents, with calcium sulfate added to control setting time. The limestone content contributes to a dense, workable mix.
Working temperature from 5 to 30 °C
Lower temperatures slow setting while higher ones speed it up, so plan the mix around the day's conditions. Dosage and mix design follow the instructions of the specialist who designed the concrete or mortar.
