ISOMAT ADINOL-RAPID is a 5 kg liquid antifreeze admixture and set accelerator for concrete. It allows concrete placing at low temperatures down to -10 °C and shortens setting time when the schedule is tight. Add it to the mixing water or to the ready mix just before placing.
Concreting at low temperatures down to -10 °C
Winter sites keep moving: the admixture keeps the process running and protects the fresh mix in sub-zero conditions. Concrete components (aggregate, water, cement) must be above 0 °C, and the surface should be covered with polyethylene while it sets.
Setting time cut by up to 105 minutes
At a 2.0% dosage by cement weight, a standard mix sets in 375 min instead of 480 min. That helps with anchoring, local repairs and anywhere early formwork removal is needed.
Chloride-free: no risk to reinforcement
The formula contains no chlorides or other corrosive components, with alkali content up to 1.0% by weight. Final concrete strength is not compromised.
Dosing into the water or the ready mix
Dosage is 1.0–2.0 kg per 100 kg of cement, depending on the setting time required. When added to a truck mixer, run the drum a further 4–5 minutes for even distribution. It can be combined with the REOTOL-SPL superplasticiser.
