UNIPRO UniQuartz quartz sand is a graded silica sand supplied in a 25 kg bag for construction and industrial use. It works for sandblasting and foundry work, as an aggregate in dry building mixes and as a topping over waterproofing membranes.
High hardness, low thermal expansion
Quartz keeps its shape and volume when heated, and the grains resist abrasion far better than ordinary building sand. That is why the material is chosen wherever friction, impact or temperature swings are involved.
Sandblasting, blasting and foundry work
The fine, evenly graded grains feed smoothly through blasting equipment and are used for cleaning industrial floors and metal surfaces. The same sand also serves in foundry moulding mixes.
Aggregate for renders, fillers and screeds
Dry building mixes get a consistent, clean filler that makes on-site dosing predictable. The sand also works as a topping over waterproofing, in garden and turf substrates, on sports surfaces and in glass manufacturing.
