MAPEI Mapefibre ST30 Structural Polymer Fibres for Concrete, 1 kg
Class II macro-synthetic fibres to EN 14889-2 that fully or partly replace welded mesh.
MAPEI Mapefibre ST30 are 30 mm structural polymer fibres for reinforcing concrete and cementitious screeds. Mixed through the batch, they raise tensile performance once the first cracks appear. Supplied in a 1 kg bag, dosed at 1 to 6 kg per cubic metre of concrete depending on the job.
Three-dimensional reinforcement through the whole mix
Because the fibres disperse evenly during batching, the concrete is reinforced in every direction, unlike mesh whose effect depends on exact placement. A dedicated surface treatment gives strong bonding with the cement paste.
Polypropylene that will not corrode in aggressive environments
Resistance to alkalis, acids and salts is high and water absorption stays below 0.01%. That makes them a practical choice where steel fibres would rust, such as water structures, exterior slabs and industrial areas.
Dosage by application: screeds, floors, precast elements
Screeds call for 1–3 kg/m³, concrete floors 2.5–5 kg/m³ and precast elements 3–6 kg/m³. Add them to the truck mixer with the other constituents, or blend them with the aggregate on the batching conveyor.
Easier, safer handling on site
A 1 kg bag is carried and dosed by hand, with no cutting or bending of rebar. The weight is a fraction of that of steel fibres, which simplifies storage and pouring day logistics.
