ISOMAT ADIFLEX-B Mortar Elastifying Admixture, 5 kg
An emulsion that replaces mixing water and turns rigid slurries and adhesives elastic.
ISOMAT ADIFLEX-B is an elastomeric acrylic polymer emulsion added to cement mortars, brushable waterproofing slurries, tile adhesives and water-based paints. Supplied in a 5 kg container, it lets the treated mix absorb the normal movement of the substrate caused by thermal expansion, shrinkage and vibration.
Flexibility that bridges hairline cracks
The admixture is mixed into brushable cement-based waterproofing slurries such as AQUAMAT where the substrate shows, or may develop, hairline cracks. Full elastification uses one 25 kg bag of AQUAMAT with 10 kg of ADIFLEX-B; for reduced flexibility, 5 kg plus about 4 l of water is enough.
Tile adhesives on moving or vibrating substrates
For tiling over substrates subject to dimensional change or vibration, the emulsion goes into ISOMAT AK-20 adhesive: 25 kg of adhesive with 5.5 kg of admixture and 2–3 l of water for full elastification, stirred continuously to a uniform mix.
Stronger adhesion and water impermeability
The polymer increases bond to the substrate and reduces water permeability of the cured mix. Clean the surface of dust, grease and oil and dampen it without ponding; porous surfaces such as aerated concrete, plasterboard and chipboard should be primed with UNI-PRIMER.
Application between +5 °C and +30 °C
Store in the original unopened container at +5 °C to +35 °C, protected from direct sunlight and frost. Shelf life is 12 months from the production date.
