A hydraulic binder that sets in minutes and holds firm even on vertical surfaces.
MAPEI LAMPOCEM is a ready-to-use cementitious powder binder for fast fixings in concrete and masonry, supplied in a 5 kg pack. Mixed with water alone, it begins to set in about 3 minutes at +20 °C. Typical jobs include anchoring frames, brackets, pipe clips and sanitary ware, plus sealing minor water leaks.
Sets in 3 minutes, ready for use within the hour
Pot life is around one minute, so the mix is prepared in small batches that go straight into the cavity. Compressive strength reaches 8 MPa after the first hour and 34 MPa at 28 days.
Thixotropic mix for work on vertical surfaces
The plastic consistency stays put on the wall and needs no formwork. Larger vertical cavities are filled in several layers at roughly five-minute intervals.
Fixing frames, brackets, pipe clips and sanitary ware
Fill the prepared cavity, insert the bolt or hinge and finish the surface with a trowel. The binder also suits installation of electrical boxes and conduits, and sealing of concrete ducts and tanks.
Stopping small leaks in cellars and lift wells
After mixing, wait a few minutes until the material warms up and starts to cure, then press it into the opening with a gloved hand until it sets. The chloride-free formula shows low shrinkage, keeping the seal tight over time.
Consumption of 1.8 kg per litre of cavity
The substrate must be sound, dust-free and thoroughly soaked, especially with highly absorbent brickwork. In hot weather use cold water and keep the bag out of the sun; in cold weather water at around +20 °C helps curing start on time.
