The Fiskars UPX86 PowerGear X telescopic tree pruner combines an aluminium shaft that extends from 2.4 to 4 m with a cutting reach of around 6 m from ground level. The head swivels through 230° and handles branches up to 32 mm thick.

PowerGear X mechanism for branches up to 32 mm

A geared drive multiplies the force travelling from the handle to the blade, keeping the effort steady through the whole cut, even in dry hardwood. This gearing is what sets the pruner apart from simple rope-operated pole cutters.

Telescopic 2.4–4 m shaft for about 6 m of reach

Shaft length adapts to the tree in front of you, and the pruner collapses down for storage in a shed or car boot. At 1.9 kg complete with the head, the aluminium profile stays controllable with arms raised.

Cutting head adjusts up to 230°

The angle locks into the chosen position so a branch can be approached from above, from the side or from under the canopy without moving your feet. It matters most on hedges and inner limbs a fixed head cannot reach.

Hardened blade with PTFE coating and SoftGrip handle

The coating keeps resin and damp bark from sticking and helps the blade release from the cut. The handle has a soft non-slip zone that works with gloves on.
