BOSCH DOT 4 brake fluid in a 0.5 L container is made for topping up and replacing fluid in the hydraulic brake and clutch systems of most modern vehicles. It meets the DOT 4 standard and works with ABS and ESP equipped systems. The half-litre size suits top-ups as well as a full change on motorcycles and small cars.
230 °C dry boiling point for stable braking under load
BOSCH DOT 4 holds its properties when brakes heat up, for example on long downhill runs or in stop-and-go traffic. A high boiling point reduces the risk of vapour forming in the lines, the usual cause of a spongy pedal.
Compatible with ABS and ESP systems
The fluid is intended for hydraulic brake systems with ABS and ESP, and for hydraulic clutches. BOSCH DOT 4 is not for mineral-oil or silicone-based systems, so check the vehicle maker's specification before topping up.
Two-year change interval keeps the system healthy
Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, so BOSCH recommends replacement every 2 years or 40,000 km. The 0.5 L container covers a post-service top-up or a complete change on a motorcycle.
