The Ideal Standard Alpha BC649AA wall-mounted basin mixer fits above the washbasin and controls temperature and flow with a single lever. Its chrome-plated brass body carries a swivel spout with a 186 mm projection and connects through S-couplings to standard wall outlets. Supplied without a waste set.
Wall mounting that frees up the basin
Wall mounting lifts the Ideal Standard Alpha BC649AA above the basin and leaves the rim clear, with no base for limescale to gather around. It suits washbasins without a tap hole as well as countertop bowls.
Swivel spout with 186 mm projection
The Alpha BC649AA spout swivels to the side so you can fill a jug or wash your hands without splashing. Its 186 mm projection aims the stream at the centre of most standard basins.
Aerated 3.8 l/min flow saves water
The aerator on the Ideal Standard Alpha mixes air into the water and holds the flow at 3.8 l/min at 3 bar for a soft, full stream with lower consumption. A built-in temperature limiter lets you cap the maximum hot setting.
Brass body with SmartShine chrome finish
The Alpha BC649AA body is brass with a glossy SmartShine chrome finish that wipes clean with a damp cloth and keeps its shine. Round escutcheons cover the connections for a tidy look on the wall.
S-coupling installation to standard wall outlets
The Ideal Standard Alpha BC649AA fits with S-couplings that absorb differences in outlet spacing when replacing an older tap. It operates from 0.5 to 10 bar, covering typical household plumbing.
