Black bitumen coating that stays flexible and dampens road noise.
MOTIP Bitumen Undercoating is an aerosol preservative for treating vehicle underbodies. The coating resists weather, weak acids and bases, and protects floor panels, wheel arches and sill interiors against corrosion. The 500 ml aerosol applies in black.
Corrosion protection for the underbody
The bitumen base seals the metal off from moisture and road salt. Because the film withstands weak acids and bases, it survives washing and degreasing without breaking down.
Flexible film with sound-absorbing properties
Once cured the layer follows body vibration instead of hardening into a brittle crust. Its strong sound-absorbing character muffles gravel impacts on the floor pan and road drone inside the cabin.
Preparation and multi-layer application
Strip old paint and rust, sand the area and degrease it. Shake the can for about two minutes and spray from 25 to 30 cm in several thin layers. Invert the can afterwards and purge the valve for roughly five seconds so it stays clear.
