SIKA Sikasil Universal Silicone Sealant, Transparent, 280 ml

Elastic sealing for glass and ceramic, indoors and outdoors.

SIKA Sikasil Universal is a versatile acetoxy silicone sealant in a transparent finish, supplied in a 280 ml cartridge for both indoor and outdoor use. The sealant is made for glazing and weather-exposed joints on non-porous surfaces such as glass and glazed ceramic. One cartridge is ready to load into a standard caulking gun and use straight away.

Universal sealing for indoors and out

SIKA Sikasil Universal is a solvent-free, one-component silicone that seals joints in bathrooms, kitchens and around window frames. The product performs across a wide temperature range, making it equally suitable for outdoor, weather-exposed joints.

High elasticity that resists cracking

Sikasil Universal is a low-modulus silicone with over 90% elastic recovery that follows joint movement. Its ±20% movement capability keeps the seal from cracking as materials expand and contract.

Weather resistance without discolouration

Sikasil Universal offers very good resistance to shrinkage, cracking and discolouration when exposed to the elements. A service temperature range from -40 °C to +100 °C keeps it flexible through hot summers and cold winters alike.

Adhesion to glass and glazed ceramic

Sikasil Universal bonds very well to non-porous substrates such as glass, glazed ceramic and metals, usually without a primer. The silicone is not recommended for porous substrates like concrete, marble or natural stone, where oily staining can occur.
