Acetic silicone with BioBlock® mould-resistant technology for durable seals in damp rooms.
MAPEI Mapesil AC 138 is a 310 ml acetic sanitary silicone in the Almond shade, designed to seal joints around ceramic tiles, sanitary ware, glass and sinks. Its BioBlock® technology helps prevent mould growth on the silicone in humid conditions. It suits bathrooms, kitchens, baths, shower enclosures and pools, both indoors and outdoors.
BioBlock® mould resistance
The BioBlock® technology in Mapesil AC 138 inhibits mould and mildew forming on the silicone surface. Joints in the bathroom and kitchen stay cleaner for longer, even under constant moisture and steam.
Elasticity for moving joints
Mapesil AC 138 stays permanently elastic and absorbs movement of up to 25% of the joint width. The seal will not crack as tiles and sanitary ware expand and contract.
Strong bond to glass and ceramic
The Mapesil AC 138 acetic silicone bonds excellently to glass, ceramic and anodised aluminium. The seal is waterproof and UV-resistant, making it suitable for outdoor use and swimming pools too.
Ready to apply with a sealant gun
The 310 ml cartridge applies easily with a standard sealant gun. The Almond shade blends with warm and beige tile and grout tones for a discreet seal.
