Mould-resistant acetic silicone for lasting, flexible joints in bathrooms and wet rooms.
MAPEI MAPESIL AC 132 is a beige sanitary silicone (shade 132) in a 310 ml cartridge, made for sealing flexible joints around sinks, bathtubs, shower enclosures and ceramic tiling. Its acetic formula bonds excellently to glass, ceramic, enamel and many other surfaces. Built-in anti-mould protection keeps the joint clean and hygienic in constantly damp areas.
Anti-mould protection for hygienic joints
MAPESIL AC 132 features anti-mould protection that stops mildew from developing on the joint. It is an ideal choice for bathrooms, kitchens and showers where moisture is constant. The surface stays clean and sound for a long time.
Excellent bond to glass and ceramic
The acetic formula of MAPESIL AC bonds firmly to glass, ceramic, enamelled sanitary ware and painted surfaces. One product therefore covers most sealing jobs in the bathroom. The result is a flexible barrier that keeps water out.
Elasticity for up to 25% joint movement
MAPESIL AC 132 handles up to 25% joint movement without cracking, making it suitable for expansion and shrinkage joints. It stays elastic across temperatures from –40°C to +180°C. This lets it cope with both hot steam and outdoor conditions.
Indoor and outdoor use, even in pools
MAPESIL AC offers excellent resistance to water, ageing and weathering, so it works both indoors and outdoors. It is suitable for damp environments and swimming pools. The 310 ml cartridge applies easily with a standard silicone gun.
