Mould-resistant acetic silicone for durable sealing in bathrooms, kitchens and wet areas.
MAPEI MAPESIL AC 130 is a pure acetic sanitary silicone sealant in a 310 ml cartridge, colour Jasmine, made for elastic and waterproof sealing of joints between ceramic, sanitary ware and glass. It features BioBlock technology against mould growth, making it ideal for showers, sinks, bathtubs and swimming pools. The sealant absorbs movement up to ±25% of the initial joint width.
BioBlock technology for mould-free joints
BioBlock technology in MAPESIL AC 130 inhibits mould and mildew from forming along the joint. That makes this silicone a reliable choice for permanently damp spots such as shower enclosures and the areas around bathtubs and sinks, where ordinary seals darken quickly.
Elastic, waterproof seal for moving joints
MAPESIL AC 130 stays elastic and absorbs movement up to ±25% of the joint width without cracking. The seal is waterproof yet vapour-permeable, keeping the joints between ceramic and sanitary ware dry for years.
Excellent adhesion to glass, ceramic and aluminium
MAPESIL AC 130 bonds excellently to glass, ceramic, sanitary ware and anodised aluminium. Use it for joints between sinks and tiles, glazing, window frames and swimming-pool joints, with the Jasmine shade matching the corresponding grout.
Temperature resistance from -40°C to +180°C
MAPESIL AC 130 stays flexible in the cold down to -40°C and withstands heat up to +180°C. Combined with its chemical resistance, this makes the sealant dependable even on heavily stressed joints exposed to temperature swings.
Easy application with a standard sealant gun
MAPESIL AC 130 comes in a standard 310 ml cartridge for a sealant gun. The thixotropic paste applies easily on both horizontal and vertical joints, and the surface is smoothed with a tool moistened in soapy water before a skin forms.
