Mould-resistant silicone for joints in bathrooms, kitchens and wet areas, colour-matched to MAPEI grouts.
MAPEI MAPESIL AC 111 is an acetic sanitary silicone in Silver Grey (111), made for sealing joints between sinks, sanitary ware and ceramic tiles. This one-component sealant features BioBlock mould-resistant technology and suits damp rooms such as bathrooms, kitchens and showers. It comes in a standard 310 ml cartridge for a silicone gun.
Mould-resistant with BioBlock technology
MAPESIL AC 111 uses BioBlock technology that limits the growth of mould and mildew on the joint. This matters most in constantly damp areas around sinks, baths and showers, where ordinary seals darken quickly.
Elastic and durable for movement up to ±25%
MAPESIL AC absorbs joint movement of up to ±25% of the initial width and is classified F-25-LM to ISO 11600. Its high elasticity keeps the seal from cracking as tiles and sanitary ware expand and contract.
Waterproof and resistant to extreme temperatures
Once cured, MAPESIL AC is waterproof and stays flexible down to -40°C while resisting temperatures up to +180°C. That makes the seal reliable both in swimming-pool expansion joints and around warm kitchen surfaces.
Easy application and smooth finishing
The MAPESIL AC 310 ml cartridge fits a standard silicone gun, and the nozzle is cut at 45° to match the joint width. Smooth the fresh seal with a tool moistened in soapy water for a clean, even profile.
