Mould-resistant acetic silicone for long-lasting, watertight joints in the bathroom and kitchen.
MAPEI Mapesil AC 103 is a moon-white acetic sanitary silicone supplied in a 310 ml cartridge for a standard sealant gun. It seals the joints between sanitary ware, sinks, baths, shower enclosures and tiles. Built-in BioBlock technology keeps the joint free of mould and black staining in wet areas.
Mould-resistant with BioBlock technology
BioBlock technology in Mapesil AC 103 stops mould from taking hold and keeps the joint clean and bright. That makes this silicone ideal for permanently damp spots such as showers, baths and washbasins. The seal stays hygienic for a long time without turning black.
Elastic joint for movements up to ±25%
Mapesil AC 103 stays flexible and absorbs joint movement of up to ±25% of the original size. This keeps the seal from cracking as materials expand and contract. It is a reliable choice for joints that flex with temperature changes.
Excellent bonding to glass and ceramic
The acetic formula of Mapesil AC 103 bonds firmly to glass, glazed ceramic and enamel. The sealant is solvent-free and suitable for interior and exterior use in wet rooms and swimming pools. It applies easily with a standard sealant gun.
Moon-white shade from the MAPEI range
Mapesil AC 103 comes in the moon-white shade (103) from the MAPEI colour range, matched to the brand's grouts. This lets the silicone joint blend with the tile grout in the same tone. It is supplied in a practical 310 ml cartridge.
