Self-watering balcony planter

LECHUZA BALCONERA Cottage 80 Balcony Planter, 80 x 19 x 19 cm, White

Timeless wicker texture that looks at home on a railing, a windowsill or a terrace floor.

The LECHUZA BALCONERA Cottage 80 balcony planter pairs a decorative wicker finish with the brand's original sub-irrigation system. Two separate liners with retractable handles let you plant at table height and simply drop them into the outer box. A water level indicator shows when to top up, and a drain plug protects roots from heavy rain outdoors.

Sub-irrigation with a 5 l water reservoir

Roots draw water as they need it instead of receiving one heavy watering from above. The level indicator makes checking a one second job, and on hot summer days top-ups become far less frequent than with a standard window box.

Two removable liners with carrying handles

Each liner is planted separately on a table or the ground and carried by handles that retract out of sight afterwards. Seasonal displays can be swapped over without taking the box off the railing.

Drain plug for outdoor use

Outdoors the plug is pulled out so excess rainwater escapes on its own and roots never sit waterlogged. Indoors the opening stays sealed and floors stay dry.

Shatterproof, UV-stable plastic

The body takes sun and frost without fading and will not crack if knocked while being moved. Its low weight makes railing mounting easier, provided the railing itself is rated for the planted load.

Compatible with LECHUZA railing brackets

Railing brackets are sold separately and fit sizes 50 and 80. They suit round and angled railings up to 38 cm in circumference, with soft textile straps that keep the surface scratch free.
