The DEWALT DWE397-QS is a 1700 W corded Alligator saw with a 430 mm bar built for cutting brick and block. Twin counter-moving blades bite into the material without kickback and hold the cut straight, while the two-handed grip keeps the tool steady in masonry, aerated concrete and insulation blocks.

430 mm bar cuts a whole block in one pass

The cutting length covers standard masonry blocks, so there is no need to turn the material or finish the cut from the other side. A 40 mm stroke keeps the pace up in dense class 12 Poroton brick.

Twin counter-moving blades eliminate kickback

The two blades run in opposite directions and cancel out the cutting forces instead of throwing the tool sideways. The cut starts exactly on the line and stays straight to full depth, including when opening service holes.

1700 W motor for dense masonry

Power goes straight to the blades and holds the feed rate in both porous and dense ceramic block. The saw runs off 230 V mains with a 4 m cord, giving reach around the work area without an extension lead.

On-site cutting without disc dust

Unlike disc cutting, the blades produce coarse chips that drop below the cut instead of spreading as a dust cloud. Blocks can therefore be trimmed indoors and around insulation that is already fitted.
