The DeWalt DCS382N-XJ is a brushless cordless reciprocating saw from the 18V XR range, built for demolition, strip-out and first-fix cutting in timber, metal and plastics. It comes as a bare tool, so you can run it on any DeWalt 18V XR Li-Ion battery you already own.

Brushless motor running at up to 3200 strokes per minute

A 28.6 mm stroke length removes more material with every pass. The fan-cooled brushless motor uses battery energy more efficiently, giving you longer runtime per charge.

Cutting capacity up to 300 mm in timber and 130 mm in steel

PVC pipes and sections can be cut up to 160 mm. Fit the right blade and the saw handles joists, steel sections and plumbing pipework during renovation and demolition.

Tool-free blade changes

A twist-action keyless clamp lets you swap blades without an Allen key or spanner. The clamp takes the blade in two positions, so you can cut flush to a surface and reach into tight spots.

Precise control with variable speed and a pivoting shoe

The variable speed trigger lets you start each cut smoothly, while the lock-off switch prevents accidental start-up. A pivoting shoe holds the saw steady against the workpiece, and the built-in LED lights the cut line in dark areas.

Compact 2.3 kg body on the 18V XR platform

At 393 mm long, with an aluminium-alloy gearbox housing, the saw is easy to handle in confined spaces. A rubber-overmoulded ergonomic grip helps during long shifts. It ships without battery or charger and runs on DeWalt 18V XR Li-Ion packs.
